Qualifications

• One year of clerical experience including preparing and maintaining records and mail processing.
• Substitution: clerical training program (240 hours) or 15 semester units may substitute for up to 6 months of experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and sit/stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor mail processing equipment according to procedures.
• Verify equipment settings and processing parameters during runs.
• Monitor mail flow, production output, and equipment performance.
• Maintain production records including mail volumes and processing activity.
• Perform quality-control checks and identify processing issues.
• Coordinate mail flow to minimize interruptions and support continuous processing.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area around equipment.
• Assist with ballot processing tasks including adjudication and remake as assigned.
• Communicate status to Ballot Distribution Manager and escalate issues as needed.
