Job summary

Tampa General Hospital's Cardiovascular Center is offering a 13-week seasonal assignment for a Cardiac Sonographer 2 - Evenings. The role involves performing cardiac imaging and related tests under supervision and, when required, assisting physicians during procedures.

We seek candidates with at least 2 years in a non-invasive cardiology lab, ARDMS/CCI registration, and current BLS. The position provides competitive base pay and potential for contract extensions based on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal 2-year accredited program in Echocardiography (Echo) or equivalent experience.
• ARDMS/CCI adult or pediatric registered certification.
• Current BLS required.
• Minimum Two years' experience in non-invasive cardiology lab.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac related procedures/tests under supervision, including stress tests, tilt tables, and TEEs when required and performs other tests to include echocardiograms and EKGs independently.
• Documents appropriate images and values during the procedure; ensures patient rights.
• Assists physician during procedures as needed and performs tests independently when required.
