McKee Foods is seeking a Seasonal Driver’s Helper to join our Transportation team for the peak Christmas season. This temporary role supports drivers on short-haul routes, performing unloading to maximize route efficiency. Position starts Sept 28, 2026 and ends Jan 1, 2027, with potential internal opportunities for long-term roles.

The role requires physical lifting, safety awareness, and teamwork. On-site at 555 McKee Drive, Gentry AR, with flexible start times and 10–14 hour shifts.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license.
• Ability to read, write, work with numbers, and effectively communicate job information.
• Willingness to travel in the truck and maintain a highly flexible schedule.
• Ability to frequently and repetitively lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass a Post-Offer Employment Test (POET) to ensure safe execution of heavy physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Freight unloading: unload trailer safely at customer locations following company standards.
• Safety operations: act as safety spotter and operate basic safety devices as needed.
• Route assistance: ride in truck with drivers up to 10 hours/day and complete trip paperwork.
• Inventory control: verify orders and note discrepancies on delivery receipts.
• Professional representation: maintain clean cab, proper hygiene, and represent McKee Foods professionally.

Pay

$21.87 / hour

Tiered Completion Bonus

• Started in September: $1,000
• Started in October: $750
• Started in November: $500

Schedule

Shift/Hours: 10-14 hour days, must be flexible with workdays and dispatch/start times.

Guaranteed time off: Friday an hour before sundown to Saturday an hour after sundown.

Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Seasonal Driver’s Helper to join our Transportation team. This temporary position supports our drivers during our peak Christmas season. The assignment begins September 28, 2026, and ends January 1, 2027. In this role, you will travel on short-haul and single-driver routes, performing the physical unloading of snack cakes at delivery locations to maximize route flexibility and driver efficiency. This is an excellent foot in the door at McKee Foods - seasonal hires will become eligible to apply for internal, long-term positions starting November 23, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Freight Unloading: Accurately and safely unload the trailer and handle product at various customer delivery locations in compliance with company standards
• Safety Operations: Serve as a safety spotter while the driver maneuvers the vehicle. Safely operate basic emergency safety devices (fire extinguishers, flares, warning triangles) as needed.
• Route Assistance: Travel in the truck cab with drivers for up to 10 hours per day, assisting with necessary trip paperwork and helping inspect the truck for defects
• Inventory Control: Help verify each customer's order and list any discrepancies on delivery receipts
• Professional Representation: Maintain a clean cab, practice good personal hygiene, and strictly adhere to the company driver uniform policy. Conduct yourself as a respectable, cooperative representative of McKee Foods with customers and the public

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manual labor, warehouse support, freight handling, or loading/unloading roles
• Experience or willingness to learn how to operate on-board computer systems
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and a strong attendance record
