Job summary

Alston Transportation LLC, a local Amazon DSP, is hiring delivery drivers for both part-time and full-time schedules. The role pays $22.25 per hour and features 8- or 10-hour daytime shifts, with a typical 4- or 5-day workweek for full-time staff and 2–3 days for part-time.

This is a Seasonal/Temporaryposition with Alston Transportation LLC (the “Company”) delivering packages for a national technology company! We are looking for both Part- time and Full - time drivers.

• Military veterans are welcome!

• Commercial, DOT, CDL (or work-related) driving experience is a plus, but not mandator

Benefits & Scheduling:

• $22.25/hour (paid biweekly)
• 8 and / or 10-hour shifts are typical
• Full time: [4 or 5]-day workweek 40hoursis typical
• Part-time: Typically 2–3 days per week, with up to 30 hours per week.
• Expect daytime shift
• A minimum of 2 paid 15-minute breaks during your shift and 1 unpaid 30 minute meal break

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Successfully handle and deliver packages on time
• Safely drive and perform safety inspections on Company vehicle
• Follow all local & state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policies
• Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction despite stressful events / conditions
• Keep pace in physically demanding job; work in all weather conditions and on various routes; lift and lower packages weighing up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis; tilt, push and slide packages weighing between 50-70 lbs. on and off a hand truck without a helper on a frequent basis; get in and out of a van repeatedly throughout the day at variable locations
• Communicate effectively with support team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure deliveries are completed
• Use smart phone device for GPS Navigation, scanning packages, conducting administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, and communicate with supervisors and other team members
• Load and unload packages in delivery vehicle
• Support the team in daily work requirements including participation in rescue calls when other team members need assistance with their routes

Requirements:

• Must be at least 23 years old
• Must hold a non-provisional, unrestricted driver’s license
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must successfully pass a background check
• Must successfully pass a 5-Panel Drug Screening (which doesinclude pre-employment testing for marijuana)
• Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle report (multiple violations can disqualify you from the position)
• Must have good English speaking, reading, writing / communication skills
