Job summary

LEMOINE seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator for Lake Charles, LA, to support Emergency Response Logistics. Seasonal assignments may require rapid deployment, travel on short notice, and operations at disaster response sites.

Telehandlers, forklifts, and other heavy equipment may be used to load, unload, and transport critical supplies. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and valid heavy equipment certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid certification(s) for operating heavy equipment required.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours—nights, weekends, holidays— during deployments.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
• Experience in logistics, construction, or emergency response preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to safely load, unload, and move materials.
• Support setup and demobilization of logistics operations at deployment sites.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Assist with general material handling and logistical tasks as needed.
• Follow safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
• Work with logistics and field operations teams to meet response objectives.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
