Job summary

Goody Goody Liquor in Texas is seeking a Seasonal Tasting Table & Customer Service Associate to help drive sales and craft memorable experiences. You will greet customers, make product recommendations, conduct approved tastings of wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, and support store operations during our busy seasonal period.

This temporary position offers competitive pay of $18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience, and opportunities to gain hands-on sales and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in customer-service or retail preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, Saturdays; Sundays closed at Goody Goody stores.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and drive sales by greeting customers, identifying needs, recommending products, and answering questions.
• Conduct approved in-store tastings of wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with Company procedures and TABC requirements.
• Engage customers to build rapport, provide product information, and create a welcoming shopping experience.
• Maintain knowledge of featured products, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Set up, maintain, and restock tasting tables and displays.
• Follow age-verification and responsible-service requirements.
• Support store operations through light merchandising and front-end assistance.
• Complete required Company training within established timeframes.

As a Seasonal Tasting Table & Customer Service Associate, you will help drive sales and create memorable customer experiences by engaging with customers, providing product recommendations, conducting approved product tastings, and supporting store operations during our busy seasonal period.

This is a temporary seasonal position. The anticipated duration of employment is based on business needs and may vary by location. At the conclusion of the seasonal assignment, Team Members may apply for available non-seasonal positions.

You Will

• Provide exceptional customer service and drive sales by greeting customers, identifying their needs, recommending products, answering questions, and suggesting complementary items.
• Conduct approved in-store tastings of wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with Company procedures and applicable TABC requirements.
• Engage customers at tasting tables and throughout the store to build rapport, provide product information, and create a welcoming shopping experience.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of featured products, promotions, advertisements, and Company loyalty programs.
• Set up, maintain, restock, and break down tasting tables, product displays, and associated materials.
• Follow applicable age-verification, responsible-service, and alcohol-sales requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tasting and shopping environment.
• Support store operations through light merchandising, stocking, front-end assistance, carryout assistance, and other customer-service activities as needed.
• Follow Company policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• Complete required Company training within established timeframes.
• Perform other duties reasonably related to the position as assigned based on business needs.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer-service, retail, sales, hospitality, or related work experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Interest in or knowledge of wine, spirits, or beverage retail preferred.
• Ability to learn product information and confidently communicate product features to customers.
• Ability to use or learn point-of-sale systems and other technology required for the position.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, Saturdays, and holidays. Goody Goody stores are closed on Sundays.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
• Must meet all Company and legal requirements applicable to conducting product tastings and performing assigned alcohol-related responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

• Standing and walking for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
• Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and moving throughout the store.
• Moving and handling merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Using ladders or step stools when required to perform assigned duties safely.
• Working in different areas of the store where temperatures may vary.
