Job summary

UPS is hiring a Seasonal Cover Driver (with Warehouse Support) in Middletown Township, PA. You’ll rotate between driving UPS delivery vehicles and working in a seasonal warehouse, with schedules that may include Mondays through Saturdays during peak periods.

You’ll perform duties outdoors, lift up to 70 lbs, pass a DOT physical and UPS test, and provide great customer service while keeping operations moving.

Qualifications

• Lift, lower, and carry packages up to 70 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license—no CDL required (license type varies by state)
• Satisfactory driving history and ability to pass DOT physical
• Pass the UPS driver test and demonstrate excellent customer service and driving skills
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate UPS package delivery vehicles
• Deliver and pick up packages while providing excellent customer service
• Work independently in outdoor environments and move between driving and warehouse duties
• Meet all UPS driver qualification standards and requirements
• When needed, assist as a Seasonal Warehouse Worker and sort/move packages in the warehouse

Seasonal Cover Driver (with Warehouse Support)

Become a key part of our UPS team in a dynamic combo role, with a strong focus on driving! At this time of year, you’ll primarily serve as a SeasonalCover Driver, stepping in to support delivery operations and keep things moving. When needed, you’ll also be trained to assist as a Seasonal Warehouse Worker.

Your day-to-day assignment will vary based on business needs such as package volume, staffing needs, and seasonal demand. You may rotate between driving and warehouse duties—sometimes week to week, and other times spending extended periods in one role before transitioning to the other.

This is a seasonal position; schedules may vary and can include Monday through Saturday, holidays, and peak delivery periods.

Cover Driver Responsibilities

• Typically work 8 to 10 hours per day, Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday depending on operational needs
• Safely operate UPS package delivery vehicles
• Deliver and pick up packages while providing excellent customer service
• Work independently in a fast-paced outdoor environment and in and out of customer locations
• Meet all UPS driver qualification standards and requirements

Occasionally, you may work inside the facility as a Seasonal Warehouse Worker

• Typically work 3.5 to 5 hours per day, Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday
• Sort, move, and handle packages in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Report on the assigned warehouse shift when not scheduled as a Cover Driver

What You’ll Need

• Cover drivers are expected to comply with UPS driver appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform
