Audubon is seeking a Seasonal Assistant, Conservation at Aullwood Audubon to support daily livestock care, habitat stewardship, and maintenance tasks. The role requires on-site work and offers a 32-hour week with compensation of $19.00 per hour.

You will assist with feeding, barn upkeep, and various conservation projects, helping keep areas safe, welcoming, and well-maintained. Start date is 11/15/26 and end date 5/15/27.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, vocational training, or equivalent experience required.
• Experience working with mammalian livestock is required.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 80 pounds regularly and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsabilités

• Assist with twice daily feeding, watering, and welfare checks of livestock.
• Clean stalls, pens, feeders, waterers, and animal enclosures; replenish bedding and maintain sanitary conditions.
• Assist with inventorying feed, bedding, and other livestock supplies.
• Support routine livestock management activities such as veterinary visits, hoof care appointments, and animal transport preparations.
• Interact professionally with visitors and answer general questions about Aullwood operations.
