Navy Exchange Service Command in Guam, Hagåtña, is seeking a Laborer (Christmas Tree Attendant) — Seasonal — Flex for the holiday season (Nov 2026 through Jan 2027). The role involves maintaining displays of trees, stands, wreaths and ornaments, and assisting customers by loading purchased merchandise into their vehicles.

Duties include moving and securing trees in the NEX parking area, trimming needles as needed, and keeping work spaces clean.

Qualifications

• PHYSICAL EFFORT: lift up to 45 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.
• WORKING CONDITIONS: outdoors in varying weather.
• TRAINING REQUIREMENT: HazMat training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Attends to Christmas trees displayed in designated area of NEX parking lot. Ensures trees are secure and safely positioned for customers to view and choose a tree of their liking.
• May assist customers by shaking purchased trees to remove dead needles.
• Utilizes a powered chainsaw to recut 1-2 inch or more off the butt end of the purchased tree to prolong life and enable water absorption.
• Wraps tree with twine to secure branches and assists customers with loading purchased trees into or onto their vehicle.
