Job summary

CHS Illinois in Shipman, IL is seeking a Seasonal Truck Driver to join the team during the fall harvest season (now through mid-December). You will haul fertilizer, liquid chemicals, and anhydrous (with endorsements if required). A Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements is preferred, or willingness to obtain them.

Schedule may include Mon-Sat 10–12 hour days. Responsibilities include safe delivery to customers, pre-trip inspections, accurate logs, and maintaining professional customer

Qualifications

• Must hold valid CDL and be able to operate in compliance with DOT rules.
• Hazmat/tanker endorsements preferred or willingness to obtain them.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work safely.
• Experience with delivering to customers and handling documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate semi-tractor/trailer or straight truck to deliver products safely and on time.
• Load/unload and connect/disconnect trailers per procedures and safety rules.
• Prepare delivery documents and daily load/unload reports; maintain logs.
• Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
• Drive in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and report issues promptly.
• Offer guidance to fellow drivers on routes and safety practices.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by management.
