Total Wine & More in Cedar Hill, Texas is seeking a seasonal Cashier/Front End Team Member to process transactions, engage customers, and support store operations. You may also serve as a sales associate or merchandiser as needed, reporting to store management.

Responsibilities include handling purchases, guiding customers about products, promoting loyalty programs, and maintaining a safe, organized store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of work experience; 1+ years of experience in a retail setting preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Physical requirements: climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., stand for 8-10 hours.

Job description

About the role As a Cashier, you play an essential role in the customer service experience by providing customers with fast and friendly service. You will process transactions, answer questions, and ensure customers leave feeling positive about their visit. While both part-time and full-time positions generally focus on being a cashier, you may also be assigned as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate. Internally, you will be referred to Front End Team Member and report to the store management team.

You will Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification, payment handling, answering inquiries, promoting loyalty program, and bagging product Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing about products and services Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned
