Job summary

Crate and Barrel is seeking Seasonal Cashiers to deliver a welcoming, efficient checkout experience during the holiday season. You will assist customers with orders, payments, and promotions while keeping the cash wrap tidy and inviting.

Join our team to help create a fun, engaging in-store experience. Availability for weekends after Thanksgiving and surrounding Christmas is required, with part-time scheduling options available.

Qualifications

• Customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds; heavier merchandise with team assist.
• Must be able to work the weekend after Thanksgiving AND the days surrounding Christmas.
• Part-Time roles: Availability to work two or more weekend days (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday) and at least one weekday or night.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales through quick, accurate processing of customer orders at the POS system.
• Meet CBH Credit Card and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders.
• Respond to customer questions in a professional and respectful manner.
• Process payments as outlined in POS training.
• Communicate promotions, offers, loyalty programs, and other initiatives to customers.
• Wrap/bag orders and keep the cash wrap neat and stocked with supplies.
• Support store leadership in profitability and operational excellence.
• Ensure products and displays on the sales floor are stocked and accessible.
• Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards to engage customers and associates.

A day in the life as a Seasonal Cashier…

• Drive sales through quickly, efficiently, and accurately processing customers' orders through the POS (point of sale) system.
• Responsible for meeting CBH Credit Card (CBHCC) and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders.
• Respond to customer questions in a professional and respectful manner.
• Process payments as outlined in the POS training.
• Communicate and have awareness of applicable promotions, offers, loyalty programs, and other initiatives to customers.
• Wrap and/or bag customers' orders with care; maintain a neat and safe cash wrap. Ensure cash wraps are fully stocked with supplies.
• Lead by example and support store leadership in holding self and others accountable for store profitability and operational excellence.
• Assist with ensuring products and displays on the sales floor are stocked appropriately and available for customers to purchase.
• Execute and maintain the visual merchandising standards of the sales floor to engage customers and associates with the product, as needed.
