Job summary

Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas is seeking a Camp Health Officer for Camp Whispering Cedars in Dallas. This seasonal role runs from late May through July 2027, with roughly 9 hours per day, 5 days a week.

You will provide nursing care and oversee camper and staff wellbeing in a day camp setting, while maintaining records and reporting to the Camp Director. Responsibilities include health screening, medication administration, first aid, and coordinating with camp leadership on health needs and

Qualifications

• Must possess current licensure as a healthcare professional and a minimum of one year of clinical experience.
• Certification in first aid/CPR/AED is required.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and oversee health and safety for campers and staff.
• Conduct health screening and manage medication intake and administration.
• Document care provided and maintain daily treatment and health records.
• Consult with Camp Director on health needs and participate in safety planning.
• Participate in staff trainings and ensure adherence to camp health procedures.
