Join our team

Do you enjoy working with animals and being part of a team that helps them get the best possible start in life? As a Calf Ranch Laborer, you'll play an important role in the daily care and well-being of young calves in a hands-on, outdoor environment.

Each day begins early by preparing milk, bottles, and feeding equipment for the morning feeding. You'll feed calves according to established schedules, paying special attention to calves that may need additional assistance. After feeding, you'll help maintain a clean and healthy environment by thoroughly washing and sanitizing feeding equipment.

Throughout the day, you'll provide fresh water and grain, monitor bedding conditions, replace dirty buckets, and help keep calf housing areas clean and comfortable. You'll also assist with scraping and cleaning pens and rows, often coordinating these activities with calf movements. Afternoon feeding follows a similar routine, ensuring calves receive consistent care and attention throughout the day.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in animal care, enjoys physical work, and is committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment.

  • Provide fresh water and grain as directed.
  • Monitor bedding conditions and add bedding as needed to maintain calf comfort and cleanliness.
  • Assist with cleaning, scraping, and maintaining pens, rows, and calf housing areas according to established schedules.
  • Maintain facility grounds and work areas, ensuring they remain clean, organized, and free of debris both inside and outside.
  • Follow safe work practices and established animal care procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
