Job summary

Ulta Beauty in Vallejo, CA seeks a Seasonal Beauty Advisor to deliver exceptional guest service, perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and drive sales through product recommendations and in-store events.

You will greet guests, keep the sales floor stocked, process transactions, and support the leadership team while adhering to store standards and policies. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
• Demonstrates a passion for guest service and competency for selling.
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices).
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service and greet guests entering the store, personalize service to their needs, answer questions about products and services, inform guests about promotions and sales, and recommend complementary Ulta Beauty products and/or services.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and the guest service experience.
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while delivering on sales goals.
• Take initiative to stay informed regarding new and existing products and services during work time and be knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Drive sales by keeping assigned work area replenished, signed and faced, and ensuring testers are available.
• Maintain outstanding store standards and overall store cleanliness including salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
