Job summary

Carter’s is hiring a Seasonal Associate to be the first face of our brand in our store. You’ll greet customers and help them explore baby essentials while delivering friendly service to growing families.

You’ll support omnichannel shopping, process transactions at the POS, restock floors, and keep the store clean and welcoming. Availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

• Welcome customers and assist with product styles, features, and benefits.
• Resolve customer issues in a busy retail environment.
• Assist with omnichannel shopping to ensure a positive experience.
• Process point-of-sale transactions.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipments as needed.
• Explain current promotions and the brand loyalty program to customers.
• Minimize loss by maintaining a safe, clean store.

What you’ll do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits.
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment.
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed.
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers.
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store.

Qualities we’d love in a candidate:

• A positive and solutions-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated customer service and engagement skills
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder.
• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
