Job summary

Carter’s Retail Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Associate to greet customers, share product knowledge, and help families prepare for everyday moments. You will support omnichannel shopping needs and help ensure a welcoming store atmosphere.

Ideal candidates bring strong customer service skills, clear communication, and the ability to juggle tasks in a busy retail setting while accommodating flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering friendly, helpful service in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers and team members.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized during peak hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with product questions, features, and benefits.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally in a busy store environment.
• Assist customers with omnichannel shopping to ensure a positive experience.
• Process transactions at the point of sale accurately and efficiently.
• Restock shelves and manage stock as needed to maintain store appearance.
• Explain current promotions and loyalty programs to customers.
• Maintain a clean, safe store by minimizing loss and ensuring safety.

What you’ll do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store

Qualities we’d love in a candidate:

• A positive and solutions-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated customer service and engagement skills
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder
• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
