Job summary

Carter's is hiring a Seasonal Associate in Los Angeles, CA. You’ll be the first face of the brand for growing families, greeting customers, and guiding them to the right baby essentials.

You’ll work in a fast-paced retail setting, resolve issues, support omnichannel shopping, and handle POS transactions while keeping the store welcoming and organized.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide product guidance.
• Resolve issues for customers in a busy retail setting and balance multiple customers.
• Assist with omnichannel shopping to ensure a positive experience.
• Process point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Complete floor replenishment and assist with shipments as needed.
• Explain current promotions and the brand loyalty program to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized store and minimize losses.

What you’ll do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store

Qualities we’d love in a candidate:

• A positive and solutions-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated customer service and engagement skills
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder
• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Compensation for this position ranges from $17.00 - $19.25 per hour based on experience and location.
