Job summary

Carter’s Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Associate in Allen Park, MI to warmly welcome customers and help them with product choices for babies and kids. You will support storefront operations, process sales, and assist with replenishment in a busy retail environment.

Ideal candidates bring a customer-service mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask while delivering a friendly shopping experience. Availability on varied days, including weekends and holidays, is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service experience or aptitude for engaging with customers.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and speech.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and explain product styles and benefits.
• Resolve customer issues proactively in a fast-paced store.
• Assist customers with omnichannel needs to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Process transactions at the point of sale/register efficiently.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed.
• Explain current promotions and the brand loyalty program to customers.
• Help minimize loss by providing excellent service and keeping the store clean.

What you’ll do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits.
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment.
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed.
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers.
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store.

Qualities we’d love in a candidate:

• A positive and solutions-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated customer service and engagement skills
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder
• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
