Job summary

OnTrac in Redlands, CA is hiring a Seasonal HUB Area Manager to oversee the sort operations and lead a team of Package Handlers within an assigned area.

You will report to the Facility Operations Manager, manage staffing and performance, analyze data, and implement improvements to drive safe, efficient results. Shift is Sunday–Friday, 11:00 AM–9:00 PM; a flexible schedule may be required.

Qualifications

• GED or Diploma required; BA/BS in related discipline preferred.
• At least 2 years of logistics/shipping/3PL experience with 1+ year in leadership.
• Ability to analyze data and present findings clearly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong math skills.
• Effective communication and feedback能力.
• Experience hiring, training, motivating, disciplining and evaluating staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers.
• Monitor employee progress, provide feedback and address performance.
• Lead pre-sort meetings and communicate daily goals and safety priorities.
• Record and manage flow of volume from designated Linehauls and departures/arrivals.
• Execute safety training, audits, and end-of-shift reporting.

Compensation

The expected starting base pay range for this position is $70,304, with a full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $71,400 - 85,680. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

Shift

Sunday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM

Employment Logistics

As an Area Manager for OnTrac, you will report directly to the Operations Manager of the facility and be responsible for managing all the sort activities and volume within an assigned area. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing change to enhance business outcomes within the operation.

The Must-Haves

• GED/Diploma required, BA/BS college degree in related discipline preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of industry experience – (ex. logistics, shipping, 3PL) with at least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience
• Ability to effectively evaluate and summarize data and present answers to questions
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office and mathematical skills
• Effective communication skills including the ability to give honest, constructive feedback
• Experience with hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and completing performance evaluations for employees

Your Mission in Motion

• Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area in the facility to ensure quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
• Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback, identify areas for improvement, and address performance/attendance.
• Conduct pre-sort meetings, keeping employees informed of daily goals, upcoming events, and safety priorities. Maintain an open line of communication to engage employees.
• Record and manage the departures/arrivals of and the flow of volume from designated Linehauls.
• Execute various administrative duties, including but not limited to, safety training, operational audits, and end of shift reporting.
