Job summary

Study.com is hiring an SEO Manager to grow organic traffic and revenue. The role blends strategy with execution, tracking SEO performance and coordinating across product, content, promotion, and outreach teams to implement on-site and off-site SEO tactics.

Located in Mountain View, CA, Study.com operates a hybrid model with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. All employees are required to be fully vaccinated unless an accommodation is arranged with People Team.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience and proven track record in developing successful SEO roadmaps for high-traffic websites.
  • Strong data analytics and strategy background and advanced Excel skills.
  • Expertise working with popular SEO tools (Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Majestic).
  • Experience with link building and viral strategies.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, sitemaps, and structured data.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with SEO leads to develop and implement the SEO strategy with defined targets, objectives and desired outcomes.
  • Lead deep dive SERP competitive analysis and make recommendations to improve rankings and traffic.
  • Track, report and analyze keyword performance across a large volume of content.
  • Recommend tactics for improving rankings on keywords where we have content as well as net new organic search opportunities.
  • Monitor SEO traffic patterns and search engine algorithms and report on their business impact.
  • Ideate and establish business cases for SEO experimentation across the site.
  • Support with technical SEO efforts to ensure our website is crawl friendly to search engines.
  • Partner with Product, Content, Promotion, and Outreach and deploy SEO best practices.
  • Monitor SEO trends and stay current with latest SEO technologies.

About the Search Optimization (SEO) Manager Position

This position is located in our office in Mountain View, CA. Study.com has implemented a hybrid model that will include 3 days in‑office and 2 days of remote work. The Search Optimization (SEO) Manager has a key role in growing Study.com’s sizeable traffic and revenue contributions from organic search. The position will be a mix of strategy and execution and will support with tracking and monitoring SEO performance and working horizontally to execute both on‑site and off‑site SEO tactics.
