Job summary

Searchmark Media LLC is seeking a skilled search consultant to design, implement, and optimize search solutions across Solr, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Coveo, Algolia, and Constructor. You will apply vector search techniques and AI/ML to improve relevance and performance while collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with search platforms (Solr, Elasticsearch, Coveo, Algolia, Constructor, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of search relevance tuning, query design, and schema design.
• Experience with vector search technologies is a strong plus.

• Design, configure, and optimize search across platforms (Solr, Coveo, Algolia, Constructor, Elasticsearch).
• Develop and optimize indexing, query performance, and relevance tuning.
• Integrate AI/ML models for semantic search, ranking, and personalization.
• Implement schema changes, analyzers, and relevance configurations.
• Advise clients on search strategy, platform selection, and best practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure high availability of search infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver scalable search features.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and optimize search across platforms (Solr, Coveo, Algolia, Constructor, Elasticsearch)
• Develop and optimize indexing, query performance, and relevance tuning
• Integrate AI/ML models for semantic search, ranking, and personalization

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with search platforms (Solr, Elasticsearch, Coveo, Algolia, Constructor, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of search relevance tuning, query design, and schema design
• Experience with vector search technologies preferred
• Interest in AI/ML applications for search (embedding models, LLMs, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or another backend language
• 1+ years of experience working with agentic coding assistants
• Familiarity with distributed systems, scaling, and cloud deployment

Major Plus

• Experience with Coveo, Algolia, or Constructor in production
• Learning to Rank, Vector Search, or rerankers
