Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Seafood Team Leader to provide overall leadership to the seafood department, guiding daily operations, profitability, merchandising, buying, labor, and regulatory compliance.

You will hire, develop, and counsel team members, set performance expectations, and collaborate with store leadership to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain safety standards, and drive best-in-class retail execution.

Qualifications

• 24+ months of retail experience including 12+ months of team leadership experience.
• Food safety certification; willing to complete if not certified within 6 months.
• Advanced knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
• Strong interpersonal, motivational, team-building, and customer relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Holds team members accountable for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Participates in hiring and separations in partnership with Store Leadership.
• Monitors and achieves sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Projects annual sales and expenses and assists with operating budgets.
• Manages ordering and inventory to meet profit margin targets.
• Maintains productive relationships with leadership and vendors.
• Ensures adherence to health, safety, and regulatory policies.
