Job summary

Qualifications

• 0-2 years experience preferred.
• Knowledge of department product, food prep, and equipment is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation is essential.
• Strong customer service skills and genuine passion for food.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Provide good customer service.
• Organize, clean, and prepare back area for incoming deliveries.
• Keep sales floor uncluttered and free from spills.
• Stock and rotate items as needed.
• Reset products and maintain shelf conditions with proper signage.
• Check shipments for out-of-date or damaged product to ensure freshness.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and company regulations for freshness, safety, and sanitation.
• Maintain shrink, safety, and inventory control standards.
• Assist in merchandising the department to maximize sales.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales.
