Job summary

Qualifications

• 0–2 years experience in retail or related work.
• Knowledge of department product, food preparation and equipment preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of specialty food products and preparation essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide good customer service.
• Organize, clean, and prepare back area for deliveries.
• Keep sales floor uncluttered and free from spills.
• Stock and rotate items as needed.
• Reset products and maintain shelf conditions and signage integrity.
• Check shipments for freshness and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and company regulations for freshness, safety, refrigeration and sanitation.
• Maintain shrink, safety and inventory control standards.
• Assist in merchandising the department to maximize sales.
• Use suggestive selling to maximize sales.
