Job summary

Gorton's in Indiana is seeking a team member to perform Operations Level 3 roles along the production line, including Bag Inspector, Block Opening, Culler, Cutter, Trim Collection and Palletizer. You will work with experienced teams, follow GMP and PPE policies, practice Lockout/Tagout, and maintain accuracy in measurements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform Level 3 Operations positions.
• Effective verbal and written English communication.
• Demonstrates sound judgment in decision making.
• Demonstrate proper use of Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Ability to engage and collaborate with all levels and departments.
• Understanding standards and measurements.
• Lift up to 60 pounds.
• Stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours.
• Abide by GMP and PPE policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Bag Inspector: ensure bag seals and date code integrity.
• Block Opening: remove block envelopes to keep pace with the line.
• Culler/Inspector: cull rejects during production of portions/sticks.
• Cutter: fill cutter pockets with product.
• Trim Collection: collect, measure, and record rejects per quality requirements.
• Palletizer: hand stack pallets.
