Job summary

Cooke Aquaculture Inc. is seeking a production operations leader to oversee management staff and production activities across Maine facilities. The role emphasizes running the plant smoothly, safely, and efficiently while meeting key performance indicators.

You will guide day-to-day operations, enforce safety and quality standards, and drive productivity through data analysis, staff development, and strategic planning to ensure on-time shipping and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven Managerial Experience-Engineering or Food Processing.
• Knowledge of business and management principles.
• Knowledge of safety, quality and productivity.
• Create accountability and lead by example.
• Technical proficiency in software applications used by the company, including operational and management tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, with experience in team building, conflict resolution, and goal setting.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding practical and efficient solutions.
• A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations as it relates to production, policies and procedures.
• Monitor and focus on the FPI's.
• Develop processes to maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.
• Plan, organize and direct optimum day to day operations to meet customer expectations.
• Responsible for product output, quality and on time shipping.
• Implement strategies and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
• Build a trusting relationship with workgroup, recruit, manage and develop staff.
• Collect and analyze data to identify areas of improvement.
• Commit to and enforce Health and Safety.
