Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies seeks a Meat/Seafood Department leader to guide daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure exceptional customer service in our Seattle area store. You will implement schedules, training, and performance goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will work with associates to maintain product integrity, run promotions, and stay current with ads and pricing. Strong leadership and seafood experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Current food handlers permit.
• Management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cutting, traying, wrapping, and labeling.
• Seafood experience.
• Retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to achieve store goals.
• Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet or exceed targets.
• Develop schedules to manage customer volume during hours of operation.
• Train and develop associates and participate in performance appraisals.
• Adhere to all laws and company guidelines.
• Cut seafood to customer specifications using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.

Direct and supervise all functions, duties and activities for the Meat/Seafood department. Support the day-to-day functions of the Meat/Seafood operations.
