Job summary

BIG CATCH SEAFOOD is seeking a dependable Seafood Distribution Delivery Driver to join our team in South Jersey. This full-time role involves completing deliveries, picking up returns, and assisting with shipping and receiving. Experience is a plus, but we will train the right person; must have a valid driver's license, and be able to lift 50 lbs in cold or wet conditions.

Compensation is $17.00–$19.00 per hour. Benefits include paid holidays, PTO, and a 401k with employer match.

This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday
Summary: Responsible for completing assigned deliveries, picking up returned merchandise, and assisting with shipping and receiving tasks by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manages all aspects of shipping and receiving by logging in products and material received as well as preparing outgoing shipments and loading and unloading of the truck on a daily basis.*
• Operates company vehicle in a professional, safe, and courteous manner.*
• Delivers merchandise to customers in a timely manner.*
• Picks up merchandise and invoices from warehouses or vendors.*
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in cold/wet conditions (freezer/walk-in fridge)
Must have valid driver's license.

FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

In 1979, Huong Vo arrived in the US as a refugee after the Vietnam war. Huong worked strenuous hours at various odd jobs just to make ends meet to provide for his growing family of six; meanwhile, he was also sending money back home to Vietnam in order to support the life he left behind. To escape the harsh reality of being a poor immigrant living in urban America, Huong went fishing as it reminded him of his sleepy village situated along the Mekong Delta in Vietnam.

In 1984, Huong was offered a job as a fish cutter. Fueled by his love and passion for seafood, he quickly ramped up in his profession and took it upon himself to learn every aspect of the seafood industry. He remained humble and loyal to his employer until they closed their doors in 2010.

In 2012, Huong along with his son Michael Vo opened Big Catch to continue his legacy in the seafood business that he can one day pass down to his sons and daughters. And in doing so, he's giving back to the working-class community that's welcomed him and his family to this great country by providing jobs in an economically distressed town in Southern New Jersey. Big Catch is family owned and is fully operated by Huong's children.
