Job summary

ShopRite’s Cromwell, CT location is seeking a Seafood Clerk to deliver a great customer experience while maintaining the seafood department, preparing and packing fresh and frozen seafood according to company standards.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, ensuring product quality, labeling and rotation, and maintaining a clean work area. The role requires standing for long periods and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training emphasizes safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and processed seafood and related products.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs and work all scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Receive, code-date, prep, store, price-mark, scale, and restock products to ensure quality and rotation.
• Differentiate between seafood varieties and advise customers on preparation and price differences.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment and sanitize surfaces.
• Check refrigeration equipment and report any failures.
