Uwajimaya Inc. is seeking a Seafood Clerk in Bellevue to deliver exceptional customer service while handling seafood preparation and display. You will bring product knowledge, pricing accuracy, and a willingness to assist customers in selecting the freshest options.

The role requires at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior retail experience and knowledge of Asian products are a plus; a flexible schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to 1 year of specialized training may be required.
• Retail experience and knowledge of Asian products preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math proficiency, familiarity with ten-key/calculator, and comfortable using computers.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate varying shifts.
• Ability to collaborate with team members and work independently.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Prepare and display seafood attractively.
• Weigh, wrap, and label products accurately.
• Identify and handle various seafood types.
• Maintain stock levels to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage.
• Check pull-dated and substandard items; ensure freshness and quality.
• Monitor and maintain signage; replace damaged/incorrect signs.
• Inspect and manage the seafood tank per HACCP and health standards.
• Ensure overall cleanliness of the Seafood Department, including displays.
• Accurately receive incoming products.
• Other duties as assigned.
