Job summary

El Super in Fresno is seeking a Seafood Clerk to join our Blackstone store team. You’ll provide friendly customer service, help set up and maintain seafood displays, and support a fast-paced grocery environment.

You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, read and write simple instructions, and have or obtain a Food Handler Card. Starting rate is $16.50 per hour. We offer benefits such as a 401(k) Retirement Plan, Continuing Education Benefits, and more.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.

• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45, occasionally up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Seafood Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service. Assists the customers, sets up, maintains and cleans the seafood display cases. Cleans, fills and rotates the seafood displays. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand and stoop for prolonged period of times.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
