Job summary

El Super is hiring a Seafood Clerk at the #21 Paramount location. Join our fast-paced store operations team and help provide excellent customer service, maintain fresh seafood displays, and support the community with quality products.

Role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a retail grocery environment. Food Handler Card or equivalent is preferred where required.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information effectively to customers and team members.
• Apply common sense to follow simple written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs, frequently 45 lbs, occasionally 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, provide friendly customer service in seafood department.
• Set up, maintain and clean seafood displays including rotation of stock.
• Lift 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods as required by the role.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Seafood Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service. Assists the customers, sets up, maintains and cleans the seafood display cases. Cleans, fills and rotates the seafood displays. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand and stoop for prolonged period of times.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
