Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a technically strong Communications and Signal Processing Engineer to join the C3I Integrated Communications Department at ARL. You will develop, test, and prototype resilient communications and signal processing systems for National Security applications.

Working at ARL, you will collaborate across teams, document findings, and support field tests and sponsor engagements while maintaining eligibility for security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science required.
  • Experience in communications or signal processing is essential.
  • Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and evaluate advanced signal processing algorithms and communication techniques.
  • Model and simulate PHY protocols and waveform design.
  • Prototype capabilities using software defined radios and open source tools.
  • Contribute to waveform, modulation, and algorithm design for challenging environments.
  • Document findings and present results to sponsors.
  • Participate in field tests and stakeholder engagements.
