About The Role

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with experience in Selenium with Java and Playwright experience you will make an impact by leading automation initiatives and ensuring high-quality software delivery. You will be a key member of our QA team, collaborating with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to define and execute robust testing strategies.

In This Role, You Will
  • Lead and mentor QA team members to strengthen testing practices.
  • Define and implement test strategies and test plans.
  • Manage release activities and ensure timely, quality delivery.
  • Debug and execute automated scripts using Playwright and Selenium.
  • Estimate testing efforts and provide accurate timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on quality goals.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered
  • 12+ years of QA experience with agile practices.
  • Expertise in writing, enhancing, and executing automated scripts using Playwright and Selenium.
  • Hands‑on experience with Java and TypeScript.
  • Strong knowledge of QA processes and frameworks (Keyword Driven, Hybrid).
  • Experience with REST Assured, JUnit/TestNG, and build tools like Maven.
  • Proficiency in version control tools such as GitHub.
  • Excellent communication skills.
This will help you stand out
  • Experience with LLM models, Amazon Kendra, Amazon Bedrock, and embedding strategies.
  • Ability to customize automation frameworks for complex scenarios.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to debug intricate automation issues.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and leading QA teams.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and AI‑driven testing approaches.

Salary And Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until February 15th, 2026. The annual salary for this position ranges between $71,100 to $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
