Job summary

State Compensation Insurance Fund is seeking a SDET - QA Senior Automation Engineer in Alameda, CA, to design, develop and run automated tests for web applications.

You will build and improve the automation framework, work with Java/Selenium, REST APIs, and CI tools, and ensure high quality releases. This is a permanent, full-time role with telework options and opportunities to influence testing practices.

Qualifications

• Automation test design and scripting using Selenium WebDriver.
• 5+ years programming/scripting experience (Java 8+).
• Experience with Protractor, Karma/Chai, Jasmine.
• 3+ years testing web/ecommerce apps using JavaScript, AJAX, HTML/CSS.
• Proficient in SQL for MSSQL or relational databases.
• Experience with version control (Git, SVN, or TFS).
• TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Ant, Jenkins setup and usage.
• Knowledge of Data Driven, Keyword Driven, Hybrid testing frameworks.
• REST and SOAP API testing with RestEasy or SoapUI.

Job Description And Duties

• Design, develop and execute Automation Test Scripts using Selenium
• Perform Unit, Functional, and Regression Testing through automation.

Technical Knowledge And Skills

• Automation experience which includes creating web automation test suites using tools like Selenium WebDriver, Selenium GRID, AutoIT, PDFBOX, Sikuli, Jersey, RestAssured
• 5+ years of programming/scripting experience (Java including latest version 8)
• Solid years of programming/scripting experience (Protractor, Karma/Chai, Jasmine)
• At least 3 years of experience with testing web/ecommerce applications constructed using JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, CSS, HTML, AngularJS, Kendo UI, ReactJS, rxJS related technologies.
• Proficient with SQL for adding, modifying and extracting data from a MSSQL or RDBMS database.
• Experience with version control tools (TFS, GIT or SVN)
• Must have experience with TestNg/Junit, Maven/Ant, Jenkins setup and usage.
• Understanding and working knowledge with Data Driven, Keyword Driven, Hybrid, and Linear frameworks
• Experience with testing and automating REST Based and SOAP APIs using tools such as – RestEasy, SOAPUI
• Experience with ticket tracking tools such as TFS, VersionOne, SVN.
• Knowledge of Defect Management Tool (Quality Center)
• Knowledge of SDLC and implementation
• Fast learning, problem solving and analytical skills

Demonstrable Skills

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze information and identify and formulate solutions to problems.
• Complete work within a reasonable timeframe under the supervision of a manager.
• Strong knowledge of project management practices and ability to document processes and procedures as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other project team members and independently on assigned tasks and deliverables with minimum supervision.
• Communicate effectively with users at all levels verbally and in writing.

Special Requirements
