Job Description

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Jitterbit is a market-leading Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) & API Management solution provider recognized in Gartner MQ for seven straight years. We help businesses make faster and more effective decisions by making it fast, easy, and cost-effective to seamlessly connect their data, apps, and devices. In order to do this, we need to build a high-quality platform that is reliable, stable, and scalable for our customers. Do you have the quality-driven initiative to lead validation and testing efforts on our products and take on this challenge?

What you will be doing:

Jitterbit is seeking a SDET Engineer who is smart, curious, and loves the challenge of solving problems that improve the testing feedback loop. You'll collaborate with an agile team to architect, implement, and continuously deliver the testing tools and infrastructure required to run tests at scale for both our front-end and back-end components. You'll be using the latest from Node, Webdriver.io, and Typescript or from pytest and Python to accomplish these goals. You will also work with our DevOps team to integrate tests into our CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Selenium Grid, Docker, and other similar technologies. You will also be exposed to a lot of different end-user endpoints we are supporting from MS Sql Server/MySQL/Oracle/MongoDB, to MS Dynamics CRM/Salesforce/NetSuite, and other technology endpoints such as REST/SOAP/FTP/HTTP/XML etc.

We believe in approaching our automated testing efforts just like any other software development effort. That's why we're not just writing tests, we're building test software and reporting solutions that help our developers continuously deliver new features and products to our customers. Like keeping up with the latest trends and technologies in automated testing? Great! You'll be expected to do that and much more. We want someone who isn't afraid to experiment and bring new ideas to the table. You should be self-educating and self-motivated through curiosity, a passion for quality, and an unruly desire to squash software bugs dead in their tracks. Come help us re-imagine our solutions to provide an integration platform that delights our customers and improves the performance of a world-class engineering team.

Qualifications
  • Automation Leadership & Craftsmanship – 4+ years as a Software Engineer in Test with hands-on experience designing, building, and evolving scalable automation frameworks from the ground up. You take pride in creating infrastructure that teams rely on.
  • Impact Through Automation – A proven track record of thoughtfully transforming manual test coverage into maintainable, high-value automated test suites — balancing speed, reliability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Modern Testing Ecosystem Expertise – Strong experience with modern frameworks and tools such as Node.js, Angular, WebdriverIO, Jasmine/Mocha, Selenium, or PyTest (or comparable technologies). You understand how to select the right tool for the right problem.
  • Agile Quality Mindset – Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments as an embedded Quality Engineer who influences design, improves testability, and helps teams deliver with confidence — not just at the end, but throughout the lifecycle.
  • Cloud & SaaS Testing Experience – Exposure to iPaaS, SaaS, or other cloud-based platforms. You understand distributed systems, integrations, and the complexity of validating them.
  • API & Integration Depth – Hands-on experience testing APIs (REST/SOAP), working with JSON/XML payloads, and validating integrations with relational databases, CRM/ERP systems, and third-party platforms.
  • Tooling & CI/CD Fluency – Comfortable working with tools such as Postman, Jenkins, Docker, VirtualBox/Hyper-V, npm/yarn, JMeter, JIRA, GitHub, and related DevOps toolchains to support continuous testing.
  • AI-Enhanced Productivity – Experience leveraging AI tools to improve test generation, code quality, analysis, or productivity — and curiosity to continue exploring what’s possible.
  • Technical Curiosity – Comfortable reading vendor API documentation and independently navigating complex integration landscapes.
  • Remote Collaboration Excellence – Experienced in working with distributed teams across time zones, demonstrating strong ownership, communication, and proactive collaboration.
  • Communication & Influence – Clear, confident verbal and written communication skills. You can articulate risk, advocate for quality, and partner effectively with engineers, product managers, and leadership.
  • Flexibility & Ownership – Willingness to flex hours when needed to support cross-time-zone collaboration and critical releases.
