IntelliBee is seeking an experienced SDET Developer to join our Seattle team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and reviewing automated tests to enhance testability, robustness, and performance of production software.

The SDET will build automation tools and frameworks, contribute to regression test suites, and support promotions across environments. Candidates should have strong programming skills (Python/Java/JavaScript), experience with Selenium or Cypress, and familiarity with

SDET Developer, Seattle, WA, US

We are looking for a meticulous SDET to contribute to and review the creation of designs for production software. The SDET's responsibilities include writing automated tests and focuses on the testability, robustness, and performance of software. As such, an SDET is a test professional with programming skills who can create automation testing tools and frameworks, and add to the ever-growing suite of regression tests, and tests required for promoting from lower to higher environments.


To be successful as an SDET, you should have excellent time management and organizational skills as well as effective communication skills. You should have a passion for designing, development, and testing and the ability to upgrade your technical skills within the constantly changing technology sector.


Principal Duties And Responsibilities


  • Engage extensively in QA testing across multiple system touch points with a significant focus on automation.

  • Design, document, and implement comprehensive automated test plans, complemented by strategic manual testing to ensure robust coverage.

  • Transform requirements documents into detailed automated test scripts and scenarios.

  • Refine overall testing strategy by integrating advanced automation frameworks and tools.

  • Understand the complexities of testing in multiple cloud-based application touch points.

  • Collaborate with analytical teams to develop robust testing packages that include a mix of automated and manual tests.

  • Implement and manage automated testing frameworks, playing a pivotal role in the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.

  • Be adept at handling the changing priorities of a fast-paced environment and communicate to all levels of stakeholders on overall progress.

  • Strong experience in using functional spreadsheets and scripting for test automation purposes.


Qualifications, Skills, Experience And Personal Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years’ experience in a combined role of functional QA and test automation (SDET).

  • Have a solid proven track record of designing and implementing comprehensive manual and automated test strategies.

  • Proficient in developing and executing both manual and automated test cases, with a strong emphasis on automation.

  • Skilled in programming languages commonly used in test automation such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.

  • Proficient in SCRUM/Agile methodologies, adept at facilitating agile and rapid development cycles.

  • Proficient in using Jira, TestRail, and familiar with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.

  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively with diverse teams, including management and stakeholders.

  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
