Job summary

A fast growing space technology company is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to help test mission-critical software that powers satellite operations. In this role, you will build and automate tests, simulate satellite operations, and troubleshoot backend systems. Ideal candidates have proficiency in Python and experience with testing frameworks. Qualifications

• Active US Security Clearance (Secret required, TS or TS SCI preferred).
• Must meet ITAR requirements (US citizen, US national, green card holder).
• Track record of solving technical problems with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Building and automating tests that mirror real customer use cases.
• Simulating operations for hundreds to thousands of satellites.
• Acting as a chaos tester to improve system resilience.

Skills

Proficiency in Python

Experience with Playwright or Cypress

Strong understanding of containerized architectures

Skilled in API testing

Experience building CI pipelines
