You will lead the design, development and scaling of enterprise test automation frameworks across web, mobile and API environments, driving shift-left quality practices and integrating automated suites into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. Qualifications

• 10+ years in software test automation, framework engineering and QA.
• Advanced Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD), TestNG and WebdriverIO.
• Mobile automation on Android and iOS with Appium, XCTest/XCUITest, AVD and Xcode.
• API testing with REST Assured, JSON/GSON, SQL and stored procedures.
• ADA/Section 508 accessibility, cross-browser testing, PCI vulnerability testing.
• CI/CD integration with Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions and cloud test envs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable UI, mobile and API automation frameworks for native, hybrid and web apps.
• Author and execute test plans covering functional, integration, regression, load and performance tests.
• Embed automated suites into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infra with automated gates.
• Manage defects in Jira and build automation reporting, Kibana dashboards and BDD metrics.
• Partner with DevOps, SRE and development teams to drive shift-left testing and QA standards.

ZipStaff is hiring an SDET Automation Engineer for our client, a major U.S. passenger rail transportation organization based in Washington, DC. You will lead the design, development and scaling of enterprise test automation frameworks across web, mobile and API environments, driving shift-left quality practices and integrating automated suites into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Design and build scalable, modular UI, mobile and API automation frameworks for native, hybrid and web applications.
• Author and execute test plans covering functional, integration, regression, load and performance testing.
• Embed automated suites into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure with automated quality gates.
• Manage defects in Jira and build automation reporting, Kibana dashboards and BDD metrics.
• Partner with DevOps, SRE and development teams to drive shift-left testing and QA standards.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in software test automation, framework engineering and QA.
• Advanced Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD), TestNG and WebdriverIO.
• Hands-on mobile automation on Android and iOS with Appium, XCTest/XCUITest, AVD and Xcode.
• API testing and data validation with REST Assured, JSON/GSON, complex SQL and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of ADA/Section 508 accessibility, cross-browser testing, Charles Proxy and PCI vulnerability testing.
• Experience integrating tests into Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions and cloud test environments.
