Job summary

Hexaware Technologies is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and APIs. The role emphasizes building robust test strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring quality across the SDLC.

The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and API testing tools, and a solid understanding of CI/CD practices to deliver reliable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and version control tools.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated API tests.
• Develop reusable Karate feature files and test data management approaches.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA to define test strategies.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance tests.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable test code.
• Identify, log, and track defects with development teams for resolution.
• Perform API, UI, and database validation.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain test documentation and coverage.
• Continuously improve test processes, tools, and frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality.
