Job summary

Amazon is offering a Summer 2027 SDE internship in Redmond, WA. You will work full‑time, in person, for 12 weeks, collaborating with experienced engineers to design, implement, test, and deploy scalable software solutions.

You will use modern languages (Java, Python, C++, etc.), gain ownership of projects, and participate in code reviews and mentorship. Candidates must be enrolled and available for the duration.

Qualifications

• Are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or above in CS/CE/DS/IS or related STEM fields.
• Experience with at least one general‑purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum.
• Expected degree conferral date between October 2027 – September 2029.
• Have a minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to design and build impactful software.
• Break down complex problems into solvable components.
• Contribute to scalable, reliable services with a focus on code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor under experienced engineers.
• Use AI‑assisted tools where appropriate and validate AI outputs.
