Job summary

Amazon QuickSight is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to help drive scalable analytics features and AI-enabled capabilities for a global user base. You will join a team delivering end-to-end solutions in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

You will collaborate with AI/ML practitioners, software engineers, and solution architects to design, implement, and test distributed components, owning code quality and architectural decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture/design/working software solutions.
• Code and test system components; participate in code and design reviews.
• Demonstrate ownership of end-to-end code quality, system tests, functional tests, and integration.
• Partner/Collaborate across teams/roles to deliver results.
• Be responsible for overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
