Job summary

Amazon Leo seeks a Software Development Engineer II to own the design, development, and cross-team collaboration of end-to-end e-commerce lifecycle systems. You will define requirements, implement financial configurations, automate tests, and validate production systems to enable Kuiper country launches across 100+ markets.

The role emphasizes building scalable distributed services, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and cross-functional delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using languages such as C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a scalable, end-to-end platform supporting Kuiper commerce logistics operations across global markets.
• Design and implement distributed orchestration systems coordinating across many services for reliable end-to-end workflow at scale.
• Establish the AI/ML foundation layer to accelerate developer productivity and reduce time-to-market for new country launches.
• Tackle novel, ambiguous technical challenges at the intersection of AI, distributed systems, and financial domain complexity.
