Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Vulnerability Management organization in Seattle. You will build systems that reduce vulnerabilities across millions of hosts, identify patching gaps, and move prototypes into production with minimal human intervention.

You will work with AWS service teams to drive remediation at scale, own the engineering practices for a growing team, and continuously improve vulnerability lifecycle management across AWS services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years architecture design for new and existing systems
• Experience programming in at least one language
• 3+ years SDLC, coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing and operations
• Experience operating production systems with on-call, alarming, and metrics

Responsibilities

• Build systems that identify why vulnerabilities persist across the AWS host fleet and drive remediation.
• Prototype and productionize security data processing workflows across fleet-scale data.
• Collaborate with AWS service teams and security platforms to reduce the attack surface.
• Own on-call responsibilities and operational metrics for deployed services
