Qualifications

  • Hands-on SD-WAN design and implementation experience.
  • Strong routing knowledge: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
  • Network automation with Python and Ansible; APIs knowledge.
  • Deep understanding of DoD/IC security concepts including zero-trust.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • DoD 8140/8570 IAT II baseline certifications (Security+ CE, GSEC, or SSCP).

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop next-generation SD-WAN architectures for DoD/IC environments.
  • Prototype SD-WAN technologies: SASE, zero-trust, cloud-integrated networking.
  • Implement automation frameworks using Python, Ansible, and IaC tools.
  • Deploy and test SD-WAN solutions in connected and Dark Cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition R&D into operational solutions.
  • Document specifications, research findings, and architectures.
  • Support deployments and troubleshooting in classified environments.
  • Lead design and validation for complex SD-WAN implementations.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers; present concepts to senior leadership.
  • Drive tech discussions for modernization initiatives.
