Job summary

Medix Technology is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead a product team building a modern cloud-native application deployed to Azure Government Cloud. The role requires prior SAFe/LeSS experience and a background in web app development on scaled teams.

US citizenship is required due to Federal Government end-customers; 5-7+ years as Scrum Master and a bachelor’s degree are needed. Strong communication and conflict management are essential.

Medix is currently seeking an experienced Scrum Master who has experience in cloud-native web application product development teams. Our client is a Healthcare Services organization serving Federal Government Agencies and the US Military. This Scrum Master will be leading a Product Team of Software Engineers who are developing a modern cloud-native application, being deployed to the Azure Government Cloud.

Please note -- we are seeking individuals who have had prior experience as a Scrum Master on a web application development team, working in a Scaled Scrum product organization (SAFe, LeSS, SPS- Nexus).

Because this role is working with Federal US Government customers, US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Serving as the Scrum Master for a product development team (5-7 members) who are focused on scaling a very large and complex cloud-native web application
• Facilitating the Scrum Ceremonies - sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review, and sprint retrospectives, etc
• Leading with emotional intelligence and strong conflict management
• Participating in Scrum of Scrums meetings to help manage the dependencies and complexities of a larger, scaled product initiatives
• Ensuring that Agile frameworks, methods and techniques are promoted, understood and acted on.
• Serving as a SME for internal employees, teams and stakeholders to understand and implement modern product development practices.
• Serving as a facilitator, trainer, coach, and mentor for the developers and SDETs on the team, and the broader organization.
• Measuring team’s maturity progress using learning milestones.
• Tracking metrics and KPIs on velocity.
• Supervising that Engineering Excellence is happening - making sure 1x1’s are happening, ensuring takeaways and follow ups are occurring

Required Experience & Technical Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen (Federal Government end-customer)
• Required Bachelor Degree
• Required 5-7+ years of Professional Experience
• Required 3 years working as a Scrum Master
• Must have experience on an Cloud-Native Feature Team
• Experience with JIRA boards
• At least one Scrum Master Certification
• Exceptional communication / conflict management abilities
