GCS Recruitment is looking for an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Practitioner to support enterprise Agile delivery teams on Project ION in Philadelphia. You'll be facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams to enhance their delivery practices.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, a strong understanding of Agile and the SAFe framework, and a proven record of working with cross-functional teams. This long-term role involves working 4 days onsite.

Project: ION - Network Data Platform Modernisation

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Practitioner to support enterprise Agile delivery teams working on Project ION, a strategic initiative focused on transforming network data platforms and digital infrastructure capabilities.

This role sits within a highly collaborative engineering environment, partnering with Product Owners, Engineering Leaders, Architects, and cross‑functional teams to enable successful delivery of complex technology initiatives.

The ideal candidate is not just a Scrum facilitator – we are looking for an Agile leader who can coach teams, improve delivery practices, remove obstacles, influence stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement.

About the Team & Project

The team is responsible for modernising how network data is represented, managed, and leveraged across the organisation.

Key initiatives include:
  • Modernising digital representation of network infrastructure
  • Supporting current HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coaxial) capabilities and future Fiber network evolution
  • Rebuilding platforms using modern data architecture principles
  • Improving data governance, ownership, transparency, and quality
  • Developing future capabilities such as graph-based network representation and enhanced system integration

This is an opportunity to support a major enterprise technology transformation initiative.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including:
    • Sprint Planning
    • Daily Stand‑ups
    • Sprint Reviews
    • Retrospectives
    • Backlog Refinement
    • Scrum of Scrums
    • PI Planning / ART ceremonies
  • Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with Product Owners on backlog prioritisation, refinement, and delivery planning
  • Identify and remove blockers impacting delivery
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges across teams
  • Support SAFe Agile practices within an enterprise environment
  • Track and communicate Agile delivery metrics (velocity, burndown, team performance)
  • Drive improvements in team maturity, collaboration, and delivery effectiveness
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering Managers, RTEs, Product Owners, and stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years' experience as a Scrum Master / Agile Practitioner
  • Strong understanding of Agile Scrum and SAFe framework
  • Experience supporting enterprise‑scale delivery teams
  • Proven ability to coach teams and improve Agile maturity
  • Experience working with engineering, product, and cross‑functional teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience managing:
    • Dependencies
    • Risks
    • Blockers
    • Delivery reporting
Tools (Hands‑on Experience Required)

Preferred Experience
