Job summary

SFE in Jersey City, NJ seeks an experienced Certified Scrum Master to lead Agile rituals and coach cross-functional teams in delivering value. You will partner with Product Owners to maintain the backlog and ensure smooth sprint cycles.

You bring 10+ years as a Scrum Master, deep knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and SAFe, and hands-on experience with Jira or Azure DevOps. Excellent facilitation and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• CSM certification from Scrum Alliance or equivalent Agile certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
• Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Coach and mentor team members on Agile and Scrum principles, practices, and values.
• Remove obstacles and impediments that impact team productivity and sprint goals.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners to maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
• Support teams in achieving sprint objectives and delivering business value.
• Monitor sprint progress, velocity, burndown charts, and other Agile metrics.
• Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
• Ensure adherence to Scrum methodologies and Agile best practices.
• Act as a liaison between development teams, stakeholders, and management.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and promote effective communication among team members.
• Drive Agile transformation initiatives and support organizational change management efforts.
• Identify risks and dependencies and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
