Job summary

United Data Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Product Owner to maximize product value by managing the backlog and aligning features with business goals.

You will bridge business stakeholders and engineering, translate needs into actionable requirements, and drive sprint execution to deliver high-quality software. You will refine user stories, collaborate with the Scrum Master and QA, and advocate for excellent UX while leveraging analytics and KPI data to inform decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related role within Agile product development.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile tools.
• Experience supporting compliance driven processes through requirements, testing, and documentation.
• Hands-on experience in backlog management and sprint planning.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent) is a plus.

Product Owner

The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product by managing and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring the development team delivers high-quality features that align with business objectives. Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team, the Product Owner translates business needs into actionable requirements, drives sprint execution, and ensures that the final product meets stakeholder expectations and end-user needs.

• Document business processes, user stories, and acceptance criteria with clarity and precision.
• Regularly refine backlog items to provide clarity for the development team during sprint planning.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the business and technical teams.
• Partner with the Scrum Master and development team to plan sprints, define goals, and ensure clear task allocation.
• Use Jira (or equivalent tools) to track epics, stories, bugs, and progress across sprints.
• Represent the voice of the customer by gathering user feedback and ensuring it informs product decisions.
• Advocate for an excellent user experience (UX) in collaboration with design and engineering teams.
• Use analytics and performance data to validate product decisions and measure success against KPIs.
• Coordinate with development and QA teams to plan, test, and deliver product releases.
• Identify risks or roadblocks that may impact delivery and work proactively to mitigate them.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance team efficiency and product delivery.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate
• Experience with enterprise or internal business applications
• Experience supporting compliance driven processes through requirements, testing, and documentation
• Scrum Product Owner or Agile certification (CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• ~5+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related role within Agile product development.
• ~ Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with hands-on experience in backlog management.
• ~ Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile tools.
• ~ 1-3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role
• ~ Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product delivery lifecycles
• ~ Proven experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation
• ~ Hands-on experience performing manual QA testing and validating business requirements
• ~ Comfortable facilitating meetings, demos, and training sessions
• ~ Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) automation
• Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• ~ Experience working with Quality Engineering teams to improve product reliability and automation.
